Research reports contain the detailed findings of a wide range of transportation-related research projects. These projects are funded through and administered by MnDOT Research Services and the Local Road Research Board.
Technical Summaries are concise, two-page summaries of research reports that highlight the purpose, background and findings of selected research projects.
A Transportation Research Synthesis (TRS) is a short-turnaround research report that addresses a specific research topic. TRSs include summaries of completed and in-progress research, or reports about the state of the practice among departments of transportation (DOTs). A TRS goes beyond the scope of literature searches; it can include interviews or surveys, and the resources found are clearly organized and summarized — with contact names, web links and other specifications.
The Research Services & Library At-A-Glance serves as a quick-reference guide to our research program, and includes project highlights, an overview of the research process and information about our Transportation Research Synthesis program.
