Drainage and Stormwater

The section contains the specific Drainage and Stormwater Asset features to be collected and associated feature codes, GPS location requirements, and an electronic spreadsheet that includes field names, metadata and example collection data.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A NEW REQUIREMENT REGARDING PONDS / INFILTRATION / FILTRATION BASINS FOR PROJECTS LET AFTER JULY 1, 2018. See format of data collection section below for more information.

Format of Data Collection

The data shall be formatted per TABLE K (requires Internet Explorer) which is an electronic spreadsheet that includes field names, metadata, and is currently populated with example collection data.

For projects let after July 1, 2018 all new or regraded existing ponds / infiltration / filtration basins are to be surveyed via laser scan or total station (bottom must be dry) and a DTM/TIN file that provides at minimum 0.5ft contours shall be submitted with Table K. Table K still requires a survey point (X, Y & Z) at lowest elevation point of the pond / basin.

Additional Guidelines

Data for new, changed, abandoned, and existing features that connect to new or changed features must all be collected within the construction limits of the project including resets, repairs and replacements for structures, pipes and aprons found in the Miscellaneous Inplace Drainage Tabulations / Items.

Must use Hydinfra ID for existing features - shapefiles or an Excel table will be provided upon request.
