Bituminous and concrete plant inspection request
State, City, and County representatives can submit bituminous and concrete inspection requests for the metro district. Please note that all inspection request shall be submitted no later than 3PM the work day before the requested inspection date. For additional support please call 651-234-7360
Soils engineering
Initiate, conduct, and evaluate soils and pavement investigations used to make grading, base and pavement design recommendations for all trunk highway projects in the Metro District.
Plant inspection and laboratory
Provide Quality Assurance inspection and materials testing at the bituminous and concrete plants in the Metro District. This work is performed for all state projects, as well as county and city projects.
Independent assurance
Ensure compliance with the federal requirement which necessitates that state DOT’s have an approved Quality Control / Quality Assurance program on all federal aid highway construction projects.
Pavement management
Monitor the pavement conditions of the Metro District highways, and identify, scope and program all Metro District pavement preservation projects.
