Pavement management
The Metro Pavement Management unit is responsible for all new Metro District highway pavement preservation project identification, scoping, programming, and review of preventative maintenance treatments. The unit tracks the pavement condition (PQI) of all highway pavement lane miles and frontage roads throughout the Metro District, and tracks and records all pavement design record changes for the Central Office Pavement Management construction log, pavement history, and HPMA updates. Research and pilot project areas utilizing new or innovative construction techniques are also monitored for effectiveness.
