About Pavement Design
The goal of pavement design is to create a structure that can support the expected level of truck traffic and resist weathering until the next scheduled rehabilitation or reconstruction. The 2007 Pavement Design Manual contains the official Mn/DOT pavement design procedures.
Data collected from laboratory and field tests is used to improve the reliability of pavement designs.
