MnPAVE - Mechanistic-Empirical Flexible Pavement Design
MnPAVE is a software program developed cooperatively by the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the University of Minnesota. It consists of three input modules: Climate, Structure, and Traffic; and three design levels: Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced. It was recently calibrated using performance data collected in 2006 on county state aid highways (CSAH) in Minnesota.
Mn/DOT Flexible Pavement Design (executable 68 KB)
The current R-Value design used for flexible (asphalt) pavements in Minnesota.
Mn/DOT Rigid Pavement Design (executable 72 KB)
The current design procedure for rigid (PCC) pavements in Minnesota.
PaveCool - Asphalt Pavement Cooling Tool
PaveCool is a software program developed cooperatively by the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the University of Minnesota. It estimates the time available for compaction of hot-mix asphalt (HMA) during adverse weather conditions.
Minnesota Subgrade Atlas (executable 1.3 MB)
The Minnesota Subgrade Atlas is a computer program developed at the University of Minnesota. It allows for the detailed analysis of the subgrade modulus along state roads and highways.
