Proposed projects and greenhouse gas (GHG) legislation
Beginning Feb. 1, 2025, MN 161.178 requires vehicular capacity expansion projects on the Minnesota Trunk Highway system to complete an impact assessment and conform with GHG and Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) reduction targets prior to inclusion in the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) or a metropolitan Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
Listed below are proposed projects and their relationship to MN 161.178 and thus may have to complete a GHG Impact Assessment. Note that these projects are still in the planning and scoping phases of project development. Project information will be updated, and additional future projects will be added to this page periodically.
