What we know
Electric vehicles provide benefits including less carbon pollution, lower maintenance costs, and improved fuel efficiency. Demand for electric vehicles and chargers will increase in coming years.
What we're doing
- The EV dashboard displays data on electric vehicle ownership and charging stations in Minnesota.
- The EV Infrastructure Needs Assessment (EVINA), completed in July 2025, has information on EV adoption and EV charging station needs.
- We're implementing the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program in Minnesota through a new grant program.
- We are creating a comprehensive directory of organizations interested in participating in electric vehicle fast-charging infrastructure projects throughout Minnesota. This directory aims to facilitate connections between potential project partners.
