History & significance

Bridge 95675 is a single-span, precast concrete arch bridge constructed in 1983 under the proprietary BEBO patent. It carries Trunk Highway 60 over an unnamed creek in Glasgow Township, Wabasha County. The BEBO design was developed by Swiss civil engineer Werner Heierli in the 1960s. The patented parabolic design involved complex engineering and included precasting of headwalls, wingwalls, the arch, and arch base. Bridge 95675 is significant as an early example of the BEBO patent precast arch bridge constructed in Minnesota.
