Bridge 27636 (the Father Louis Hennepin Bridge, also known as the Hennepin Avenue Suspension Bridge) is a five-span steel suspension bridge, constructed in 1989. The bridge carries Hennepin Avenue over the Mississippi River, the West River Parkway, and West Island Avenue in Minneapolis, Hennepin County. It is significant as a distinctive engineering example of a major vehicular suspension bridge in Minnesota and for its application of aesthetics to reflect the design of the two earlier suspension bridges at this location.
