MnDOT DBE Learning Hub and Small Business Resource Center
MnDOT Civil Rights Business and Program Development has partnered with MaKee Company to develop a DBE Learning Hub and Small Business Resource Center (PDF) to provide small businesses with education, training and resources to help their businesses thrive.
What does it do?
The DBE Learning Hub and Small Business Resource Center will enhance the knowledge base of DBEs and Small Businesses through:
- Bid assistance,
- Practical business workshops, and
- Technology skills and resources
This will allow businesses to leverage their skills and increase their chances to compete for contracts with general contractors and as general or sub-contractors themselves.
What types of programs are offered?
The DBE Learning Hub and Small Business Resource Center has several different options for interested small businesses. Some examples of the types of assistance and resources provided are:
- Bid assimilation and submission system
- Small business and technology workshops
- One-on-one mentoring and site visits
- Quick Biz lunch and learns
- Networking events
- DBE workshops for DBE application and certification
