Minnesota Commercial Truck and Passenger Regulations

New Rule for Drivers of Commercial Motor Vehicles
A new rule restricting the use of hand-held mobile telephones for drivers of commercial motor vehicles became effective Jan. 3, 2012. This new rule applies to both interstate and Minnesota intrastate commercial motor vehicle drivers. For more information, view the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration press release.

New Intrastate USDOT Number Requirement
As of Aug. 1, 2011, there will be a new requirement for intrastate carriers to display their USDOT number. Assigned USDOT numbers MUST be displayed as required by MN Statute 221.031, subd. 6.

New Business Hours
We have new hours for both walk-in and phone customers.

New lobby and phone hours for the Credentials Section are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This means that from 12 to 1 p.m., you will not have access to the office lobby and all incoming phone calls will go to voicemail.
