Accessibility Subcommittee meetings

MnDOT is working with the Minnesota Council on Disability, members of the public, and community members to host meetings tailored to address each community’s specific needs and goals. The goal of these conversations is to reach out to communities experiencing transportation barriers to ensure equal access to transportation and to bring shared mobility to all.

MnDOT liaisons are looking for communities interested in discussing how connected and automated vehicles may impact your transportation needs. If you would like to host a meeting, or would like to request MnDOT attend a conversation with your community, please contact Kristin White.

Equity Subcommittee Meetings

MnDOT is requesting meetings with individual communities named in the Executive Order on Connected and Automated Vehicles, including rural communities, elderly Minnesotans, Minnesotans with disabilities, low-income communities, communities of color and American Indians.

Through its facilitation team, MnDOT is meeting individually with various communities to discuss CAV and hear feedback from community members. In addition to these meetings, MnDOT will be hosting an Equity Subcommittee open to the general public. Meeting to be scheduled in early October.

Tribal Government-to-Government Relations

Working with the State Tribal Liaisons, MnDOT has met with the Advocacy Council for Tribal Transportation (ACTT) and is meeting with the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council to ensure state and tribal governments have opportunities to discuss the impacts, benefits and risks of CAV in tribal communities.
