Summary of work
The Olmsted Co. Rd. 35 bridge over I-90 is being replaced in 2024 northwest of Stewartville. Construction is scheduled to begin in July and it is anticipated to be completed in October.
Traffic impacts
Motorists on Co. Rd. 35 will be detoured at the bridge work zone at I-90.
- To reach Co. Rd. 35 west of I-90
- From Hwy 63, motorists should go west on Co. Rd. 6 then north on Co. Rd. 8 to reach Co. Rd. 35 west of I-90
- From I-90, motorists should exit at Co. Rd. 6 and go west, then north on Co. Rd. 8 to reach Co. Rd. 35 west of I-90
- To reach Co. Rd. 35 east of I-90
- From Co. Rd. 8, motorists should go south, then east on Co. Rd. 6 and then north on Hwy 63 to reach Co. Rd. 35 east of I-90
- From I-90, motorists should exit at Co. Rd. 6 and go east, then north on Hwy 63 to reach Co. Rd. 35 west of I-90
I-90 will be temporarily closed and detoured during demolition, when new beams are set, and when the concrete for the new bridge deck is poured. Exact dates and detour route will be announced once the schedule is set.
