Traffic noise analysis
Traffic noise along Hwy 10 and Hwy 23 in east St. Cloud exceeds the state and federal noise standards.
A 2020 draft traffic noise analysis report (PDF) concluded that two noise walls would meet the necessary criteria to reduce noise for properties adjacent to the highway by at least five decibels:
- Along east side of Hwy 10 and north of E St Germain Street - Proposed noise wall will be 20 feet tall, built with concrete posts and concrete panels. Image, png
- Along south side of Hwy 23 and east of 14th Avenue SE - Proposed noise wall will be 20 feet tall, built with concrete posts and concrete panels. Image, png
