The Minnesota Department of Transportation has postponed resurfacing repair work on Highway 135 in Biwabik until spring 2024. MnDOT continues to monitor pavement settlement and conditions along this stretch of highway, but the agency was unable to complete the necessary work this construction season. This resurfacing work will repair unforeseen settlement that occurred during spring thaws following construction.

2021 Construction – May to October, remaining work between 1st Avenue to 6th Avenue
Complete Streets
MnDOT’s Complete Streets philosophy is being used to better accommodate all users of the corridor. As a part of the philosophy, highway lane and parking widths will be narrowed for traffic calming purposes and to make additional space available for other uses.
