Update: Update: A local and unofficial detour will be in place June 27-29 using flaggers. Patching to ensure safety will occur between First Avenue and Second Avenue and from Third Avenue to West Railroad Street. Second Avenue to Third Avenue will be reclaimed to provide a more walkable surface until the street can be resurfaced later this summer. Calcium chloride will be applied to control dust. A final layer of pavement will be installed in 2023.
There is no cost to the City of Biwabik for these corrections.
Landscaping will occur in September and October 2022.
