Approved/Qualified Products

No product list required for channelizing devices. MnDOT does not maintain an Approved Products List for Type A, B or C channelizers. The installer of channelizers must self-certify that the device complies with all the specifications found above including color, size, retro-reflectivity and crashworthiness. Quality standards and typical channelizer usage guidelines:

• Type A: Cones, weighted channelizers, tubular markers (excluding surface mounted delineators)
• Type B: Drums, type I and II barricades, direction indicator barricades, vertical panels
• Type C: Type III barricades

No product list required for portable sign structures. MnDOT does not maintain an Approved Products List for portable sign support structures. The installer of portable signs shall provide documentation that the device complies with all the specifications found above including size, ballasting and crashworthiness testing. Quality standards and typical sign usage guidelines are found above. Refer to the Specifications for shop drawings of MnDOT tested portable sign structures which have been crash tested and pre-approved for use on all state projects.
