An Evening with Eagles

This event is being held in conjunction with AirExpo 2017, and is a rare opportunity to meet and dine with several of America's true Aviation Heroes, hear them speak about their experiences, and shake their hands.
Our main speaker will be NASA Astronaut Franklin "Story" Musgrave, who flew on six spaceflights during his 30 years with NASA.
Other VIPs scheduled to attend include aces from World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, 8th Air Force crew members, and World War II Naval aviators.
Also invited are members of the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association, River Rats, who flew missions over North Vietnam, and prisoners of war from World War II and Vietnam.

Backus Lions 22nd Annual Fly-In Pancake Breakfast

Cost is $6.00 at the door ($5.00 in advance) and $3.00 for children under 12. PIC eats free!
Advance tickets are available from Backus Lions members at the Polish Stand at Godfrey’s on Saturdays or Backus Fire Department members and First Responders.
The pancake breakfast, a benefit for the Backus Fire Department and First Responders will include, pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee and milk.
Schedule permitting, the North Memorial Medivac helicopter will land at 11:00 AM, and a demonstration will be given with the “jaws of life” rescue apparatus on an old car, weather permitting.
You can watch airplanes land and take off, talk to pilots, firemen and first responders and see a fire engine up close.
There will also be a raffle for some wonderful items will be sold at the event with a drawing at 12:00 PM (noon). Need not be present to win.
