Highway 2 culvert replacement near Proctor begins June 2

DULUTH, Minn. –  The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be starting a culvert replacement project on Highway 2 between Highway 194 and Proctor on June 2. The first culvert replacement will take place at West Rocky Run Creek. Highway 2 will be fully closed at the creek which is located between Sandberg Road and Hermantown Road.
A posted detour will direct motorists to take Highway 194 to Midway Road. Local traffic will be able to continue on Highway 2 up until the work zone. Work at this location will last through the end of June. Upon completion at this location, work will move east to two different culvert locations.
