In 2027, we will construct a single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Hwy 55, Co. Rd. 42/Mississippi Trl., and Co. Rd. 85/Goodwin Ave. This roundabout is necessary to improve safety and manage traffic flow by eliminating left-turns.
Summary of work
- Construct a new single-lane roundabout at Hwy 55, Co. Rd. 42/Mississippi Trl., and Co. Rd. 85/Goodwin Ave.
- Replace medians
- Add curbs on both sides of Hwy 55
- Add crosswalks at Hwy 55, Co. Rd. 42/Mississippi Trl., and Co. Rd. 85/Goodwin Ave.
- Add lighting
- Update drainage

All traffic impacts are tentative and weather dependent.
Upcoming
Information about upcoming traffic impacts will be provided as details become available. Motorists can expect road, bridge, lane, ramp and trail closures with detours during construction. Hwy 55 between Pine Bend Trl. and Horner Ave., Co. Rd. 85/Goodwin Ave. between Emerald Greens Way and Hwy 55, and Co. Rd. 42/Mississippi Trl., to just north of Hwy 55 will be closed. Access to businesses and residences will remain open throughout the project.
