Hwy 59 Culvert Replacements

Vallers Township

About this project

Summary of work

This project involves replacing two culverts on Highway 59, located approximately 5.6 miles north of Marshall. The goal is to maintain the safety and stability of the road while extending the life of the culverts. This work will help prevent future infrastructure issues and ensure the continued smooth flow of traffic.

The project will focus on:

  • Culvert Replacement: Replacing the existing metal culverts to ensure proper drainage.
  • Safety and Stability: Ensuring that the roadway and culvert structures remain safe for travel and continue to function effectively.
  • Long-Term Durability: Extending the life of the culverts and reducing the need for frequent repairs.

Project Update: July 9

The old south culvert has been removed and the new box culvert put in place. Crews are backfilling material around the new structure and will be moving to the north culvert next week.

Traffic impacts

Traffic is detoured using County Road 8, Highway 23, and County Road 24 to maintain flow around the project site.
