About this project
Summary of work
- Reconstruct roadway from south of Blue Earth County Road 57 in Mankato to just south of the Minnesota River Bridge in St. Peter
- Add new turn lanes and passing lanes throughout the project area
- Construct a roundabout at Hill St. (Le Sueur County Road 21) in Kasota
- Design and grade for a future walking and biking trail to connect Mankato and St. Peter
- Improve lighting at intersections, repair and replace bridges, and install snow fence

Traffic impacts
- 2024: minor impacts to Hwy 22 traffic
- 2025: Hwy 22 traffic detoured to Hwy 169 (detour removed during winter)
- 2026: Hwy 22 traffic detoured to Hwy 169; detour in place for Rabbit Rd. bridge work (detour removed during winter)
