- One lane will remain open on 85th Street bridge the majority of the time. Traffic signals will be used to direct motorists through the project in a single lane.
- Short-term lane closures and detours of Highway 52 will occur during some of the work. The first detour of Highway 52 southbound is anticipated to occur Aug. 28, 7 p.m. to Aug. 31, 5 a.m.
- Detour: From Highway 52 southbound, take Exit 64, turn left on Olmsted County Road 112/ 100th Street NW, turn right on Olmsted County Road 112/ 18th Avenue NW, turn right on 55th Street NW, then take the ramp to Highway 52.
Summary of work
Crews started repairing the 85th Street NW bridge over Highway 52 north of Rochester Aug. 20, 2026. Repairs are being made due to a crash at Highway 52 southbound lane under the bridge. Work is expected to be completed in fall 2026.
