Through fall

• One lane each direction between Co. Rd. 4 and 620th Ave.
  • Expect lane shifts, no shoulders, head-to-head traffic and multiple crews at work
  • Business access is maintained, follow signs

Hwy 10 detour: Wadena to Verndale

Through early July

• Road closed to through traffic from Co. Rd. 4 to east of Oink Joint Rd.
  • Detour: Co. Rd. 4 and Co. Rd. 23 (PNG)
    • Watch for a temporary all-way stop at Co. Rd. 4 and Co. Rd. 23
    • Expect delays and follow all work zone signs
    • Business access is maintained within the work zone

Hwy 71 to west of Wadena

  • Trucks detour: via Co. Rd.75, Hwy 10 and Hwy 71
    • Note: Truck turns are tight, includes those hauling trailers or longer vehicles.

• Open through work zone
  • Expect no shoulders, lane shifts, flaggers and changes to access; follow signs.
  • This is downtown Wadena - please slow down and watch for pedestrians and bikers!

Pedestrians

• Sidewalk closures, follow signs (usually along the adjacent side)

2026 work

Access for those who live, work or visit areas along this project will be open and maintained at all times. However, expect these changes:

• Hard closures at times; contact businesses prior to your visit
• Use of a side streets, alleys or back/side entrances
• Gravel or grooved surfaces or temporary entrances
• Pedestrians will have sidewalk closures with detours
