Summary of work
The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be constructing a project on Highway 46 from Koochiching CR 40 (Cathleen St.) to Highway 1 in Northome. Construction also includes Highway 1 from Highway 71 to Highway 46 in Northome. The project is planned for construction in 2028. The project will include the installation of new storm sewer, sidewalk, and curb and gutter in the city limits of Northome. Once completed the pavement throughout the project limits will have been reconstructed.

Traffic impacts
Motorists can expect an in-town detour as well as a truck detour. More information will be provided closer to construction.
