Maintain your STS Certificate of Compliance

As set forth in Minnesota Rules, chapter 8840, to maintain your Special Transportation (STS) Certificate of Compliance, you must:

• Maintain current insurance.
• Complete an annual vehicle inspection.

• Make decal payments in a timely manner by using our online carrier portal login, postal mail, or in-person.
• Complete an annual evaluation (audit) of business records.

• Complete the annual STS Certificate of Compliance Renewal Packet (PDF).
  • Annual renewal requirements can be found on the The Office of The Revisor of Statutes website.
• Maintain driver and attendant training according to required timeline.

• Update driver, non-driver, and vehicle documents within 10 days of any change.

  • STS Vehicle Registration Form
• Update Business Information Change Form with any changes to business email, address, phone, name of person responsible for daily operations, and officer names within 10 days of any change.
