File a complaint

MnDOT is committed to ensuring that no person in the State of Minnesota, on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, low-income status, creed, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, and status with regard to public assistance, is excluded from participation in, denied benefits of, or otherwise is subjected to discrimination under any and all programs, services, or activities administered by the department, its subrecipients, and contractors. Additionally, MnDOT is committed to ensuring that its programs incorporate access for people with limited English proficiency.

File a discrimination complaint

Please complete the MnDOT discrimination complaint form if you feel that you have experienced discrimination by MnDOT, its sub-recipients, consultants, or contractors on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, low-income status, creed, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, and status with regard to public assistance, in violation of the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and related federal and state statutes.

Requirements

Complaints shall be a written or electronic statement signed by the complainant or the complainant’s representative. MnDOT will make every effort to ensure the complaint submission process is accessible.

Time limit for filing a discrimination complaint

The complaint must be filed within 180 calendar days from the date of the alleged discriminatory incident to be considered valid under federal law.

If you need assistance completing the form, please call or email the MnDOT Office of Civil Rights. Allegations of discrimination received by fax or email will be acknowledged and processed. Allegations received orally by phone or other means will be produced in writing and provided to the complainant for approval.
