SignCAD Software Updates Training Class

Description: This one-day course is designed for MnDOT personnel who need to acquire skills in SignCAD. This class will demonstrate new software features and answer questions that individuals may have regarding the product. This class is not intended for personnel desiring sign design skills.

Traffic Guide Sign Design Course

Description: To enable MnDOT and consultant engineering personnel to acquire basic design skills needed to design traffic guide signs using the SignCAD Software. This two day course is designed for persons who need to acquire guide sign design skills. SignCAD will be used to demonstrate basic sign design elements for as many traffic guide sign examples as time permits. Participants will receive a MnDOT Traffic Guide Sign Manual, but will NOT receive a copy of the SignCAD Software.
Audience: MnDOT and consultant engineering sign design personnel who will be using SignCAD
Sign Plan Design Course Freeways - Interchanges

Description: To enable traffic sign design personnel to acquire basic design skills in assembling signing plans for freeways. This one-day course is designed for persons who need to acquire sign plan design skills. Participants will receive a MnDOT Signing Plan Design Manual which will include a complete sample signing plan.
Audience: Engineers and technicians responsible for designing freeway signing plans for MnDOT contracts
Signs "101" Course

Description: This is a one day introductory Traffic Signs “101” Course that is designed to enable entry-level traffic technicians and engineers to acquire a basic understanding of how and why the determination is made to place a traffic sign at a particular site. Participants will also learn the various components (sign panels, hardware, supports) along with the maintenance requirements for traffic signs. Each participant will receive a course manual and an electronic copy.
Audience: State, county, city and consultant personnel involved with traffic signs
Sign Plan Design Course At-Grade Intersections, Conventional Highways and Expressways
