Erosion and Stormwater Management Unit
Goal
The goal of this unit is to protect the waters of the state during construction and maintenance activities and to establish functional roadside vegetation during construction projects.
Products the unit provides
- Plan review comments and recommendations
- Design standards, specifications, special provisions, details, and product approval related to construction stormwater and vegetation establishment
What to expect from the unit
- Review of erosion control, vegetation, and stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP)
- Help with construction stormwater regulations and permitting
- Help with overlapping environmental constraints
- Coordination with MPCA construction stormwater staff

- Invitations to meetings
What the unit expects from you
- Coordination on projects meeting the criteria described in Erosion & Stormwater Management TPDP guidance document
- Involvement in plan review for select projects
