What is TED?
News: Governor Dayton proposes $20 million for the biennium in General fund spending for TED
The Transportation Economic Development Project is a collaboration between MnDOT, DEED, and the Public Facilities Authority for highway improvement projects that support economic development. The partners provide funds for projects while seeking matching money from other community stakeholders. TED is seeking projects that will encourage the growth of new or existing business while at the same time improving the statewide transportation network.
Examples of TED projects
- Celebration for Hwy 10/County Road 34 project
near Perham (Sept. 17, 2012) - Mille Lacs County used a TED grant to improve two miles of road so it could handle the heavier trucks from local businesses.
- Minnetonka will be using TED funds to install a westbound on-ramp at I-394 and Ridgedale Drive.
