The Geometric Design Support Unit provides the following services:
- Provides the districts with assistance in development of preliminary plans which are consistent with approved MnDOT and AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) standards, leading to a staff approved layout.
- Researches and develops geometric design standards.
- Coordinate statewide geometric design training programs.
