Project History
The existing Highway 71 bridge was built in 1954 and due for replacement.  With the project, MnDOT is also proposing to reconfigure the section of Highway 71 north of town to reduce speeds and improve pedestrian and bike accommodations. The work to reconfigure the highway north of town was made possible through a CIMS (Corridor Investment Management Strategy) grant.
