Sanborn to Springfield

About this project

This project includes resurfacing over 8 miles of Highway 14 from the west side of the Sanborn Four Corners intersection to the eastern city limits of Springfield. In advance of the Hwy 14 Sanborn to Springfield resurfacing project, the city of Springfield received funding through MnDOT’s Local Partnership Program (LPP) to lead a project in 2021/2022 at the intersection of Hwy 14 and West Central St. The intersection will be realigned to improve sight lines and overall safety.

  • Upgrade pedestrian ramps and sidewalk in the city of Springfield to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
  • Add school crossing at the intersection of Hwy 14/Cass. St. in Springfield
  • Add centerline rumble strips and intermittent shoulder rumble strips through corridor
