I-90 Corridor Preservation

SW Minnesota – Rock, Nobles, Jackson, Martin and Faribault Counties

Traffic impacts

Heads up. Watch for workers in Rock and Nobles Counties starting in April/May of 2018 as they install median guard rail to reduce the serious cross-over crashes.

Coming in 2019 – Fairmont to Blue Earth – concrete overlay – traffic restricted to two-lane with reduced speeds and periodic ramp closures. Go to 511mn.org for the latest restrictions.

About this project

Constructed in the 1970’s, Interstate 90 will need on-going work to maintain the system. The bridges are approaching 50 years and nearing the end of their service life. MnDOT will continue to invest in this critical corridor that is part of the National Highway System.
