The following is the planned work on I-90 from Alden to Albert Lea.
Resurface westbound lanes
Construct traffic crossovers
Install new guardrail on eastbound and westbound lanes
Construction is scheduled to begin May 6, 2024, and it is anticipated to be completed in November 2024.

Traffic impacts
During construction, the below impacts will occur. Dates are subject to change.
Lane closures during crossover construction (May 6 to late-May or early June)
I-90 traffic will be in the eastbound lanes with eastbound and westbound traffic using single lanes adjacent to each other (Late-May or early June to November)
I-90 westbound on-ramp closure from Hwy 13 (Late-May or early June to November)
To access I-90 westbound from Hwy 13: Go south on Hwy 13, west on Co. Rd. 46 (210th St.), north on Hwy 22 and then use the ramp to I-90 westbound
I-90 westbound on-ramp closure from Hwy 109 (Late-May or early June to November)
To access I-90 westbound from Hwy 109: Go south on Hwy 109 (S. Broadway Ave.), west on Co. Rd. 46, north on Hwy 22 and then use the ramp to I-90 westbound
I-90 westbound ramp closure to Hwy 109 (Begins mid-summer and lasts several weeks)
To access Hwy 109 from I-90 westbound: Take Hwy 13 exit, go south on Hwy 13, west on Co. Rd. 46 (210th St.) and north on Hwy 109 (S. Broadway Ave.)
