Pelican Rapids

Highway 59 traffic: Obey the automated traffic signals.

Highway 108 east traffic: Follow detour. Trucks use truck routes.

Current traffic impacts

Be prepared to stop on Highway 59 as Stage 2C is underway
  • Stage 2C underway: Highway 59 reduced to one lane between 7th Avenue NE to just beyond County Road 9.
    • Automated traffic signals setup on each side of work zone to direct traffic one lane at a time. Be prepared to stop.Your patience is important!
  • Stage 4A-C underway: Highway 108 east closed between 2 1/2 Street and Anne Lane.
    • The intersection at Anne Lane is CLOSED to all traffic. Use the detour at Cross Point Road.
    • Business access: For businesses on the north side of the road, use 2 1/2 Street to cross the work zone. Access may vary as crews move through each intersection. Travel with care.
  • Trucks and other thru-traffic: Truck/thru-traffic routes

Construction schedule

Construction will be completed in phases, starting in April 2024 through Fall 2025. All work and schedules are weather dependent.

Current stages and work:

  • Stage 2C: Hwy 59, 7th Ave NE to north of CR 9
  • Stage 4A-C: Hwy 108 east, 2 1/2 Street to Anne Lane
  • Some prep work is also underway on Hwy 108 west
