Hwy 25 from Third St. in Monticello to east of Sherburne Co. Rd. 11/14 south west of Big Lake:

  • Hwy 25 one lane each way, 24-7
    • Oct. 7 update: both directions on outside lanes of bridge as crews reconstruct the inside median

Local access open and maintained; however, expect these changes:

  • River St. closed to/from Hwy 25
  • Turn/through lanes modified at:
    • Sherburne Co. Rd. 11/14
    • Wright Co. Rd 75/Broadway Ave.
  • Camera from 511mn.org
  • Pedestrian sidewalk open on one side of the bridge only. Follow signs and stay out of closed areas

About this 2024 project

MnDOT will resurface and update the Hwy 25 bridge over the Mississippi River in Monticello, includes drainage and sidewalks.

Summary of work

  • Resurface the Hwy 25 bridge deck (replace concrete wearing coarse)
  • Replace approach panels and joints, along with other bridge repairs
  • Widen sidewalks along both sides of the bridge
  • Upgrade lighting
  • Replace or repair drainage infrastructure

Future impacts, schedule

Seven overnight closures were completed to reduce vibration on bridge to cure concrete.
