Sept. 23, 2019 - Due to unforeseen delays on the Highway 47 bridge project between Glen and Malmo, work on the Highway 18 bridge will be moved to mid-summer, 2020. Crews have encountered heavy rainfall in addition to soil stability issues below the road’s structure. Once the fix has been issued crews will pave the road and remove the detour. News release
Hwy 47 detour through mid-October
Road is closed between Malmo and Glen at the Morman Creek late September. Follow the Hwy 47 signed detour along Hwy 18, Hwy 169, Aitkin CR 28 and CR 12. Detour map, PDF
The road will be closed to everyone at the bridges. Access to businesses and residents will be maintained outside the closed area. For your safety and ours, stay out barricaded work areas. Plan ahead for alternate routes.

When complete in 2020, the new bridges will improve drainage in the Malmo area. Information is subject to change.
