All MnDOT projects - both new construction and rehabilitation projects - must include evaluation to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Specifics for this project

The Biwabik Main Street project will include significant work to upgrade the roadway and sidewalks to comply with ADA standards. This includes:

  • New curb ramps and truncated domes at street intersections
  • Bump-outs to shorten crossing distances
  • New sidewalk that is designed so that doorway access to local businesses is ADA compliant
