Summary of work

In order to meet requirements for federal funding, and to better understand the current and future needs of Hwy 73 from Cromwell to Kettle River, MnDOT is taking a deeper look into how the roadway functions today in order to plan for its future by undertaking a corridor study.

During the study, MnDOT will:
  • Perform a safety analysis along the corridor.
  • Engage local partners, organizations and community members to gather feedback on existing roadway issues and develop potential corridor alternatives and cost estimates that address the issues and concerns identified by community members and the traffic analysis.
  • Identify environmental impacts for each alternative.
  • Identify potential improvement projects that match the needs of the corridor with available funding.

MnDOT is hosting a public update meeting on Thursday, March 14, at 4:30 p.m. in the Cromwell Pavilion, 5577 Cromwell Park Drive, Cromwell, MN 55726.
