Self Propelled Modular Transporters

 

A SPMT is being used on the Maryland Ave. Bridge replacement project, scheduled for this summer. SPMTs allow bridge decks to be prefabricated remotely and moved into position. They reduce traffic disruption and improve Work Zone safety while improving quality and constructability and increasing contractor and owner options.
