Executive orders on connected and automated vehicles
Background
Executive order 19-18
On April 1, 2019, Governor Tim Walz signed Executive Order 19-18 (PDF), which will form a second Council on Connected and Automated Vehicle. This council will propose policies to safely test and deploy connected and automated vehicles.
Applications for the council will be accepted through the Minnesota Secretary of State Office website starting mid-April.
Executive order 18-04
Executive Order 18-04 (PDF) established Minnesota’s first Advisory Council on Connected and Automated Vehicles under Governor Dayton. This council completed their recommendations and report in December, 2018.
