Volunteer pilots from Benson and Anoka Airports will be giving free airplane rides at the Centerville Lions Club Ice Fishing Contest on Centerville Lake
- The rides are available only to children that are between the ages of 8 to 17 years old.
- A legal guardian must be present at the time of the flight
- The Airplane Rides will only take place if the weather conditions are suitable for flying.

Celebrate the history and future of flight at Discover Aviation Days.
Come to the Anoka County Airport in Blaine and enjoy flying demonstrations, kid's activities, numerous aviation exhibits, aircraft & helicopter rides, food booths and more! General aviation and corporate aircraft, experimental, WWII fighters, trainers & bombers and modern military aircraft will all be on display. Those interested in a career in aviation can stop by the numerous aviation and education booths. Pilot Safety Seminars will also be offered.
In addition, a Pancake Breakfast (7:00 AM - 11:30 PM) & Lunch (12:00 PM (noon) - 3:30 PM) will be available both days.
And don’t forget the Hangar Dance with 1940's swing music from David Andrew's Big Band Saturday night!
Admission to Discover Aviation Days is FREE, but, a parking donation is requested to help cover event expenses.

This 1940's style Hangar Dance features the sights and sounds of Dave Andrew's Big Band. This 14 piece band will bring you back in time to the age of Swing with its orchestra look and period song selections. Staged under the big parachute and large dance floor, this set-up is amongst a private collection of over 20 vintage aircraft from the 1920's & 30's. This flying collection is housed in a modern environmentally controlled hanger and is available for viewing throughout the evening.
Refreshments are available. Come in your Best Period Dress! (1940's period dress is encouraged but not required)
