The Transportation Worker Memorial honors those who lost their lives while working to construct and maintain highway projects across the state of Minnesota.

The memorial, located in the lobby of the Transportation Building at 395 John Ireland Blvd. in Saint Paul, is accessible on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The touch screen kiosk provides visitors with information on the history of the memorial, a listing of those killed and recognition of memorial construction donors.

The memorial was dedicated in April 2000. It was conceived by MnDOT employee Trent Weber.
