Tom Prew
Tom Prew has graciously accepted a temporary position as the Project Development Engineer at State Aid, beginning September 10th. The Project Development Engineer exists to provide oversight of the environmental process delegated to the local public agencies (LPA) for projects funding through the FHWA. Duties include providing technical assistance and training on the federal environmental review and documentation requirements, review and approval of environmental documents and project design standards, and coordination between LPA, FHWA staff and MnDOT Office of Environmental Stewardship. Tom will be an asset to the federal aid group with his experience in project management, consulting city engineering, state aid traffic safety. Currently, Kevin Joyce is filling the Project Development Engineer position, and state aid thanks him for his work these last six months.
Katrina D'Arms
Katrina D’Arms, Graduate Engineer Trainee has joined State Aid for a three month rotation. She will be helping in the federal aid environmental review section, federal aid plan review, traffic safety and anywhere else we can find her fun and interesting work to do. Katrina studied Environmental Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, and moved out here after graduating in May. In her free time she loves exploring the Twin Cities on her bike, trying new places to eat, and teaching free workshops on clothing repair/mending.
