Policy statement

The department recognizes the right of its employees to accept outside employment. An employee, however, cannot work in outside employment which involves a conflict of interest or compromises MnDOT’s interests.

Reason for retiring the policy

The subject matter pertaining to outside employment has been incorporated in the Code of Ethics policy; a separate policy is not needed.
