Southbound Snelling Avenue striping removal, restriping scheduled Monday, October 19 through Friday, October 23 in Arden Hills, Roseville

ROSEVILLE, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that removal of temporary pavement markings on southbound Snelling Ave. between I-694 in Arden Hills and Highway 36 in Roseville, begins Monday, Oct. 19 and will finish by Friday evening, Oct. 23. Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. nightly and may work longer if they are not in residential areas.

Nearby residences and businesses will experience some noise and vibration from striping removal although it will not be as noisy as work on the northbound side of the highway.

Motorists will need to use alternate routes to avoid congestion and delays.

During the work, cross streets will be closed while crews are working nearby.

Final work on the highway should be complete by mid-October.

Repairs and resurfacing of Snelling Ave. began this spring between Highway 36 in Roseville and Grey Fox Rd. in Arden Hills. This project also added connectivity with a new trail section providing access between Lydia Ave. and Snelling Ave. North, upgraded signal systems and improved accessibility at pedestrian ramps. This work will maintain the highway system and provide a smoother road surface and extend pavement life, reduce congestion, improve traffic flow and accessibility and improve safety along the road.

All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather and schedule permitting and subject to change.
