I-35 concrete grinding work in Duluth starts Sept. 28
DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation will be starting concrete grinding work in the I-35 tunnels in Duluth on Monday, Sept. 28. Motorists can expect intermittent single lane traffic during work hours. A full day long closure of the I-35 northbound on-ramps and I-35 southbound off-ramp at Lake Avenue will take place mid next week. Work is expected to last through Oct. 8.
Work zone safety tips
- Obey posted speed limits. The fine for speeding in a work zone is $300.
- Drive undistracted. Avoid using cell phones, mobile devices, adjusting the radio – even eating –while in work zones.
- Move over. Give workers room to safely complete their work.
