Public meeting set for May 1 for Hwy 52 Hader to Zumbrota Study

ZUMBROTA, Minn. – The public is invited to attend a public meeting on May 1 to review the completed study of the Highway 52 Zumbrota to Hader corridor, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The meeting will be held in-person from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1 at the Zumbrota VFW at 25 E 1st St., Zumbrota. A presentation will be provided at 6 p.m. People unable to attend the meeting will be able to review the information and provide comments online.

MnDOT along with Goodhue County are finalizing a Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) study. The study examined the Highway 52 corridor between Hader and Zumbrota.

The study evaluated the benefits and impacts of proposed transportation system improvements to the environment, communities and economy in the Highway 52 corridor. It considered elements that improve safety, manage access, improve freight movement, address agricultural transportation needs, manage congestion into the future and encourage economic development.

To learn more about the study, visit the MnDOT project website at talk.dot.state.mn.us/hwy-52-hader-zumbrota-study, where you can review information, and submit comments and questions.

MnDOT invites and encourages participation by all.
