The Worker Memorial honors those who lost their lives while working to construct and maintain highway projects across the state of Minnesota.

The memorial is accessible on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The touch screen kiosk provides visitors with information on the history of the memorial, a listing of those killed and recognition of memorial construction donors.

The memorial was dedicated in April 2000. It was conceived by MnDOT employee, Trent Weber. If you have questions about the memorial, please contact the MnDOT Construction Office:


The Worker Memorial is located in the lobby of the Transportation Building at 395 John Ireland Blvd in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Transportation Building is located in the Capitol Complex north of downtown St. Paul. The Worker Memorial is inside the building next to the Capitol Mall. The entrance is on John Ireland Blvd.
